Passionate about people engagement and social innovation, Faye has worked in Canada's Parliament, at the University of British Columbia (UBC), in the venture capital industry, and for the United Nations. Her diverse international and domestic work experience has taught her the importance of global understanding and local engagement, which led her to create GLOCAL, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to digital civic engagement and youth engagement in Canada. Faye received her B.A. from UBC and an M.A. from Harvard University. She is a proud mother who is constantly juggling the responsibilities of family, work and community services.

As a Project Manager at GLOCAL, Joseph is responsible for overseeing the project throughout the entire lifecycle. He graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Enterprise Management. In his spare time, Joseph enjoys curating recipes, playing video games and exploring Web 4.0 business applications.

Vicky is a project manager and data analyst at GLOCAL, specializing in legislator database construction, volunteer management system development, and data visualization. Having gained valuable experience at a prominent law firm, Vicky enjoys connecting with friends, reading captivating books, and hiking in her free time.

Entering her fourth year in Honours political science at the University of British Columbia, Helen is passionate about critical theory, grassroots work, and opening avenues of accessibility at every stage of the political process. Dena is the Overseas Canadians Engagement Officer at GLOCAL. She works to support the engagement of overseas Canadians in domestic democratic participation. Dena is an alma mater of York University. In her spare time she enjoys playing music, reading, and cooking new recipes.

Hadya is GLOCAL’s Data Administrator and is in charge of database management. She is committed to identifying the most effective and efficient ways to deliver accurate and relevant information to YouCount Platform users in order to increase political participation and civic engagement. Hadya is a senior student at the University of Toronto with a focus on social sciences and humanities. She is a passionate social advocate and community worker who believes in collective action in addressing public concerns and alleviating social barriers to be instrumental to democracy. On her own time, she likes to read books, socialize with friends, and enjoys biking along the creek trails of Toronto.

Hadya respectfully acknowledges that she is located on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat people. She also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

As a volunteer at GLOCAL, his aim is to help bridge the gap between Canadians of all groups, including the military, to provide better political engagement for all Canadians. He graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with degrees in Political Science and History. He is a published academic author with publications on the subjects of Political Economy, disinformation, and healthcare policy in Canada. In his free time, he enjoys writing, tutoring and exploring historical ruins.

I would like to recognize that I am on the traditional territory of the Oromocto First Nations, seized in the Anglo-French war of 1758.

With a background in legal analysis, research, and civic engagement, Paula has valuable experience and a passion for helping others. She is a proud member of the Hispanic community and has contributed to an interdisciplinary social project, as well as managed cases as a Legal Analyst and Supervisor. Paula holds a Master's in Constitutional Law from Spain and a LLB from Colombia, demonstrating her commitment to learning. She is passionate about making a positive impact and looks forward to contributing to future projects.

As a Social Issues Researcher at GLOCAL, Koena Mukherjee, a honors science student with an interest in math and computing at the University of Waterloo, intends to promote STEM and entrepreneurship at GLOCAL as well as integrate a variety of subjects within technology and the natural sciences. An avid reader, tennis player and occasional artist, Koena is foremost a learner, enjoying intellectual discussions on various topics and novel ideas.

As a staff member at GLOCAL, Jia Yue brings passion for research and for public outreach to connect all Canadians with the information they need to become active civic participants. Jia Yue graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology honours and English honours and will pursue a master's in education at the University of British Columbia.

As a Social Issues Researcher at GLOCAL, Melanie Rasich has done research on several complex global issues – particularly as they connect to human rights and global justice. Melanie graduated from Temple University, Japan Campus with a degree in International Affairs & Asian Studies. She is also currently working as a Flight Attendant and enjoys learning different languages in her spare time.
