Biography

Paul was born in Edmonton, to a serving military family. Both his Father, and Mother were senior noncommissioned officers living in base housing at that time. When these accommodations were closed, Paul's family moved to St. Albert, where they lived until he was 15, at which time they moved back into North Edmonton. While attending High School, Paul maintained a part time job on weekends, and various summer jobs. Upon graduating High School, Paul entered the work force full time. Since then, he has engaged in diverse occupations including: baker, labourer, security guard, peace officer, by-law enforcement, and financial services. Paul has held an assortment of training positions with large international corporations for the last 15 years. He was self-employed in the financial industry for nine years, at the end of which he was a branch manager for an independent office of a large multi-national financial corporation. Paul also created, and ran a successful small business for four years. Aside from work, Paul has been active in many historical, cultural, and youth organizations over the past 40 years. He has been elected to executive positions with non-profit societies and associations, and founded two non-profit organizations as well; one local to Edmonton, and one Provincial. Paul has actively participated in fundraising activities for local and regional non- profit, and charitable organizations focusing on youth in need. Paul has been happily married to his wife for 34 years. They have lived in Mill Woods for the past 28 years.
